CompassionIT Virtual Summit: Embracing innovation with empathy
CompassionIT is where compassion and technology come together to create more compassionate digital healthcare that serves humanity and helps address pain points that clinicians and patients often face with the waves of new technologies hitting healthcare. From AI and automation to remote and mobile capabilities, innovative technologies are boldly promising to modernize and personalize healthcare, but steep learning curves and the blistering pace of advanced autonomy of today’s innovations can leave users feeling out of control.
As part of its ongoing movement toward human-centered healthcare technology, DHI is hosting its first CompassionIT summit, a half-day virtual event that brings together visionary leaders, healthcare disruptors, and changemakers to redefine the role of technology in clinician well-being, patient experience, and ethical AI.
Scheduled for May 20, 12 to 4pm, the virtual summit will deliver bold, thought-provoking sessions featuring cross-functional case studies, frontline insights, and real-world strategies—from reimagining nursing roles and confronting CISO burnout, to piloting AI tools that reduce documentation burden.
Featured speakers include Corey Feist, Director of the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation, and Dr. Albert Villarin, CMIO of Nuvance Health, presenting a groundbreaking case study on ambient AI resulting in a dramatic reduction of EMR documentation time.
