2023 Most Wired Patient Engagement Segment Report
Empowering patients, connecting with them to better understand their health care needs and how digital health tools can improve their care experience and, ultimately, their outcomes. That is patient engagement, and it is a major focus for healthcare organizations (HCOs) today.
More than 40% of U.S. hospitals and health systems participate in the annual Digital Health Most Wired (DHMW) survey, which provides not only recognition but also a benchmark for digital transformation. Among eight scored segments of the 2023 DHMW survey, patient engagement accounted for about one-sixth of an HCOs total score and is a crucial factor in defining its digital health progress.
The theme of “acceleration of data usage” emerged across all segments including patient engagement, where consumer-facing digital tools generate and rely on large amounts of data. Considering the innovative digital health companies and solutions flooding the market, digital health leaders can easily become overwhelmed when trying to develop an impactful digital patient engagement strategy.
This special segment report on patient engagement features data and insights from DHMW, as well as thought leadership from consumer technology engagement organization Gozio Health and its client Baptist Health, a Florida-based provider.
